Lilly and Kelvin’s University and Whist Club wedding in Wilmington DE was a beautiful day of celebration, overflowing with love. There were so many small well thought out details about Lilly and Kelvin’s wedding day. In the end, each of those details all added up to a day that reflected their love for each other. In fact, when their wedding day arrived, it was met with rain. Usually, this can, quite literally, dampen things and cause unnecessary stress for a couple. But, with Lilly and Kelvin, they took it all in stride. They were both completely at ease, unbothered, and ready to greet the day with big beautiful smiles.
Before their wedding reception celebration at the University and Whist Club, Lilly and Kelvin said I do at Westminster Presbyterian Church. They chose this particular church for their ceremony because Lilly’s family has deep bonds with the church. As a matter of fact, when Lilly was growing up she faithfully attended worship at this church with her family. The same pastor who provided her family with spiritual guidance over the years would later be the same pastor to officiate over her marriage. Holding their wedding ceremony at this particular church was a lovely way to honor Lilly’s family while welcoming Kelvin to their family. The ceremony, much like the love they share was beautiful, symbolic, and sacred.
Once Lilly and Kelvin were announced as husband and wife, their wedding party; beautifully dressed in sage & royal blue, awaited their exit on the stone steps of the church. Bouquets were held high and the sound of cheers and applause filled the street below. All in honor of Lilly and Kelvin.

With the weather holding out, and with Lilly and Kelvin’s newlywed glow I was incredibly eager to continue their wedding photography experience. Along with the color palette they had selected for their wedding party, their wedding day style was classic and chic. Their floral palette consisted of all-white blooms accented by sprigs of greenery. I knew that all of these elements combined would work together to help me create timeless wedding photos. Photos they could hang on the walls of their home for years to come.
The scenery surrounding their wedding venue, the University and Whist Club was the perfect setting for capturing those unforgettable moments. Stone structures and bright garden pathways overflowing with vibrant colored florals hung out in the backdrop. With nothing less than the most fabulous smiles, and a clear umbrella or two, Lilly and Kelvin took each other’s hands and soaked up the glow of their brand-new marriage.
