This summer wedding at Rose Hill Manor was a modern and trendy take on a classic black & white wedding with one small (albeit fun) twist. The couple’s sweet furbaby, Hank, was there for every moment. Alex and Jack are officially husband and wife and I’m sharing all of the details from their May wedding, below.
Rose Hill Manor Wedding
It’s easy to see why Alex and Jack chose Rose Hill Manor to host their wedding day. The elegant wedding venue, located in Leesburg Virginia, features Jeffersonian architecture. This distinct nod to history combined with the venue’s idyllic setting feels as though stepped back in time. It’s a stunning venue if you’re planning a wedding in the DC area. Especially if what you crave is a classic wedding day set against a picturesque atmosphere.
Furthermore, Rose Hill Manor offers three dedicated spaces on its grounds for you to host up to 200 guests. The beautiful outdoor ceremony space is set against the rolling hills of the manor. Cocktail hours at Rose Hill Manor take place on the patio where hors d’oeuvres are served as guests mingle while awaiting your arrival. Finally, your wedding reception celebration at Rose Hill Manor will take place inside the white-walled vaulted ceilings of the ballroom.
This serene setting is what awaited Alex and Jack on their wedding day. During the planning process of their wedding, I spent some time getting to know more about Alex and Jack. Aside from sharing a name, Alex and I connected over our shared adoration of Taylor Swift. Once we knew that we were both Swifties at heart, our connection was instant and deep! But it wasn’t until her wedding day that I really saw Alex’s fun and playful side come to life. When she was getting ready in the bridal suite, Alex and the members of her wedding party had an impromptu ‘concert’. The champagne was poured and the mood was fun and vibrant. We were officially prepared to meet Jack (and Hank!) for their first look.
Alex & Jack’s Wedding Day
Rows of white Chivari chairs were set on the lawn of Rose Hill Manor as guests took their seats for Alex and Jack’s wedding ceremony. Their modern take on a classic black and white wedding extended to their florals. A deconstructed floral arch framed their altar and white rose arrangements, accented with heaps of baby’s breath sat at the entry to their aisle. Every major focal point of their ceremony was framed to perfection.
Guests were given hand fans and chilled signature cocktails to escape the heat. But remember how I mentioned that Alex and Jack did everything with a fun twist? The cocktails served at their wedding had ‘Hank’ themed swizzle sticks for an added layer of fun.
For Alex and Jack’s wedding photo experience at Rose Hill Manor, I worked with them to capture the essence of their story combined with the beauty of their venue. The tall commanding columns at the entryway of their venue, along with the surrounding vegetation created a quintessential setting for classic & timeless wedding photos.
