I’m so excited to share Sunity and Andrew’s gorgeous Jefferson Memorial engagement session with you today! I always love Washington DC, engagement sessions- there are so many beautiful locations in the city that you cannot go wrong with any of them. The Jefferson Memorial is one of my favorite spots (more on that later!)
Sunity and Andrew met online and dated long distance – he in Rehobath Delewarem while she lived in Washington DC. Their relationship has been made up of many late nights and long weekends, traveling back and forth… but they made it happen!
Since they are getting married in Rehobath Deleware, they knew they wanted an engagement session highlighting the beautiful architecture of DC, which was instrumental in their story.
Thomas Jefferson Memorial Engagement Session Washington DC
When we discussed their vision for the session, the Jefferson Memorial came to mind immediately. You really cannot go wrong with any of the monuments here. Still, ultimately we decided on the Thomas Jefferson Memorial because of its sweeping view of the tidal basin, unique curved architecture, and lack of crowds. The Jefferson is known for its view amongst the famous DC cherry blossoms each spring.
Jefferson memorial tidal basin, which is gorgeous at all times of the year. During non-cherry blossom season, we can capture that iconic DC aesthetic without fighting the crowds at some of the more famous monuments, like the Lincoln Memorial. It is a little off the beaten path (I recommend getting a taxi to the location or bringing a comfy pair of walking shoes to your session)
