George E Peabody Wedding Photos

Megan and Stephen are Elementary School teachers- who, over the course of their relationship, bonded over their mutual love of stories. You may remember their engagement session from the Lincoln Memorial last year! When they were searching for the venue for their wedding day and found the Peabody Library in Baltimore, they knew it was the perfect venue for their wedding day! From the library card invitations to their lightsaber exit at the end of the night, details from their favorite stories were woven throughout the day.

This stunning library was built in the 1860s and still boasts much of its original character and charm. It’s no wonder this library inspired the iconic library in the 1991 classic Beauty and the Beast! The Peabody Library is a truly magical setting for any special occasion, and Megan and Stephen knew it was the perfect place for their fairytale wedding day.

As the wedding day approached, we received the news that a tropical storm was on its way- and would be hitting the area right as we were scheduled to start portraits. It had the potential to wreak havoc on our carefully planned day. We knew we had to come up with a solid plan B.

However, with quick thinking and a few phone calls, we were able to come up with a backup plan. It could have easily been a disaster, but we secured the library staircase as a beautiful alternative instead.

And the result? Absolutely stunning! The staircase provided the perfect backdrop for the couple’s first look, making their fairytale wedding day even more enchanting.
