Melissa and John’s wedding at The Potomac View Terrace came with an unforgettable view.

Melissa and John dreamed of spending the night of their wedding dancing under the stars. And it all happened just beyond the shadows of DC’s most iconic monuments. They selected The Potomac View Terrace to host their wedding day and bring their vision to life. Located on Constitution Avenue in Washington, DC on the the sixth floor of the American Pharmacists Association Building, lies The Potomac View Terrace. An exquisite open-air wedding venue that boasts 1,700 square feet. Here you can dine as newlyweds with your friends and family by your side. The Potomac View Terrace is a unique wedding venue in that it offers an enclosed space for dinner. But it also offers a completely al fresco space for dancing. Here, your entertainment can set up for an exquisite evening spent dancing under the stars.

The views at The Potomac View Terrace are unrivaled. Across the balcony, Melissa and John’s guests spent the night enjoying a delectably plated dinner. Which was accented by unparalleled views of the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. In fact, when Melissa and John were planning their wedding, they confided in me that they were most looking forward to their reception celebration. With a stunning venue secured for the date of their wedding and a live band to keep the energy high among their guests, Melissa and John’s wedding day vision came alive.

The Potomac View Terrace is a Wedding Venue With a View

Wedding ceremonies at The Potomac View Terrace take place on the front steps of the building. A gorgeous architectural masterpiece with an all-white facade, rows of impeccably lined seating, and stone stairs for a dramatic entrance. Escorted by her father, Melissa made her way to the end of the aisle where John, flanked by the members of their wedding party, patiently awaited the arrival of his bride. Their wedding ceremony, a true reflection of their love, began with a solemn moment before their vows were exchanged. During the ring exchange, Melissa and John even shared a laugh with their guests before sealing their union with an epic kiss.

From the stairs of The Potomac View Terrace for a beautiful union to the sixth floor for a reception celebration. Melissa and John welcomed their guests to a dinner celebration that was curated with refined elegance. Guests tables were adorned with floral garland in rich shades of greenery with each seating arranged with a formal setting to enjoy a leisurely dinner experience. Members of Melissa and John’s wedding party took to the mic to recount their favorite moments with the couple over the years. All the while guests raised their champagne glasses high in celebration of the newlyweds.

With dinner service completed, it was time to take to the dance floor and let the memories flow. A live band filled the air of The Potomac View Terrace with astonishing wedding day ballads and dance floor hits. Melissa, John, and their guests spent the rest of the evening dancing until their feet hurt.
