Shir and Trevor met on an airplane- they were both on their way to mrytle beach for spring break! It just so happened to be sitting next to each other on a flight. They hit it off immediately, and talked for the entire flight, and while waiting for their bags at baggage claim. Unfortunately they did not exchange numbers on the flight.

Luckily that was not the end of their story! At the end of the week, when Shir was sitting at the gate waiting for her boarding group, and there he was, sitting right across from her! On board the flight she was sitting toward the back of the plane, with Trevor towards the cockpit. Towards the end of the flight Trevor was sitting his seat trying to think of how to ask for her number when they got back to BWI. Shir walked up to use the restroom at the front of the plane. On her way back she covertly slipped a piece of paper on to his lap. Trevor picked it up, confused as to why on earth she gave him a piece of trash. He flipped it over to discover that it was her ticket stub and that she had written her phone number on the back of it!  and on the way back, she covertly gave him her ticket sub which happened to have her phone number written on it!

That was were it all started. Four years later they went for a sunrise hot air balloon ride in the Shenandoah valley in October.  While they were in the air, Trevor proposed using her that exact same plane ticket that had her number written on it! Especially fitting sense they had originally met in the air.

When planning the proposal, Trevor’s biggest fear was not that she would say no, but that the ring would fall through the basket and be lost. Instead he used her parents engagement ring, which was designed by her mom and featured a diamond from her grandmother ring. Waiting safety on the ground was the diamond engagement ring that Trevor had picked out for her!

For their engagment session we went to Great Falls National Park in Potomac Maryland, right by the neighborhood by Shir’s mothers home. I had never been to Great Falls before, so I went a bit early to explore, and it was AMAZING!

    Shir and Trevor are such an amazing down to earth couple. You only have to see the way that they look at each other to know that they are soul mates! We had so much fun exploring the trails along the canal, and then heading down to the river bank for sunset.  I cannot wait for their wedding this coming May!
