On Saturday, at their home church, surrounded by their friends and family, Dave and Suz tied the knot. From the moment that I arrived at Dave and Suz’s Wedding, I kew it was going to be an extraordinary day. You could FEEL the nervous excitement in the air, and so many happy tears.
They were married at their home church, by their pastor Frida, and assisted by Daves father. Suz wore her grand mothers pearls, a family tradition, just as her mothers and aunts had on their wedding day!
In between bridal party and family photos, I caught Suz and her sister Becca, having a sisters moment.
After their ceremony Dave pulled a small hand plane out of his pocket- a tribute to his grandfather, who was also a woodworker
For their first dance, Suzs sister Becca sang as Dave’s brother KijJit played the guitar
For their wedding cake, they had not one, but FIVE different types of SMITH ISLAND CAKE! I love love love that they choose to incorporate this Maryland Specialty into their wedding day (it also happens to be my favorite kind of cake!)
