First of all CONGRATULATIONS! This is such an exciting time! You have found your person. You are getting ready to plan the biggest day of your life, and start the rest of your life together!

Over the course of the next few weeks, I’ll be walking you through how to handle some of the most common questions and worries new brides (and grooms!) are faced with when it comes to planning their wedding day!

Between the guest lists, cake tastings, and venue searching, it can be so easy to get caught up in planning for the wedding- it is all going all go so fast. So, before we dive into the nitty-gritty’s of planning your beautiful wedding, let’s take some time to celebrate this huge milestone!

Share the news

You’ve heard the phrase, “Sharing is caring”, right? This applies triply so when you’re sharing some super news! And trust me, your parents (especially your parents haha 😉), besties, and loved ones all want to celebrate with you. So go ahead and post that story, send those messages and spread the good news. Just prepared for the rush of happy messages as soon as you announce it on social media! It’s time to celebrate!

Plan a celebration

Okay, so a big 200-person party might not be possible right now (pesky pandemics, but let’s do our part to keep each other safe), but that doesn’t mean you can’t host a mini celebration with your parents, besties or puppies. Wether it is in person, or via Zoom- why not have a family dinner at home, enjoy brunch on the bay with a bottle of bubbly.

Pamper yourself

This is a major (and pretty darn magical!) milestone. Let’s make the most of it! If you can’t get to your local spa for a day of pampering, you can pre-plan an at-home session … and involve your gorgeous fiancé/e at the same time! DIY facials, mani/pedis and massages will elevate your inner glow even more.

Go on an adventure

When was the last time you visited where you first met? Or took each other on a date to a placed you loved in your early days together? Or even spiced it up with a spontaneous weekend away? Being engaged isn’t just about planning your wedding, it’s about celebrating your love every step of the way.

I hope that this was helpful for you as you set out on your wedding planning journey! I will be back next week to talk about that dreaded topic.. what happens if it RAINS on your wedding day! It really is not as bad as it seems- especially if you prepare for it NOW!
