If their is one thing that 2020 year has taught us- it is that, no matter how much planning we put into something sometimes the world has other plans. Abby and Steven decided to move forward their original date for their Maryland National Golf Club wedding. Due to the pandemic, they opted for a reduced guest list, and social distancing precautions. Their day was still SO BEAUTIFUL, and filled with so much love and support from their close friends and family. It is so easy to see, just by how Abby and Steven are when they are together that they are soulmates.
Abby’s Mother passed away just before the holidays last year, joining her father who passed away several years ago. They may not have physically been present, but their presence was still very much felt through out the day. Around her bouquet was one of her fathers ties, and on her feet the sparkle kate spade shoes gifted by her mother. Sewn into her wedding dress was a heart cut from her mothers wedding dress.
After getting ready at their home in fredrick Maryland, Abbey and her bridesmaids headed over to the golf course for the bride and groom’s first look. Steve is a firefighter, so it only seemed appropriate that they were married by one of his fellow fire fighters from the station, who recounted the early stages of their relationship!
The weather was calling for rain all day, but lucky for us, the worst of the weather held off untill right after we finished their husband and wife portraits. Their is definitely an upside to rainy nights on a wedding day- it means that you can do NIGHT PORTRAITS!!!
