This wedding holds an extra special place in my heart, because Maddy and Steven also happen to be dear friends of mine from College! Maddy lived across the hall from me freshman year, and we spent many nights having late night dance parties, (trying) the 200 sit up challenge, and so many other things! Her and Steven are a SUCH a perfect match- she practically SHINES when she is around him!
Steven and Maddy met while they were students at Washington College- (see their engagement session here.) For their wedding, they held it in Chestertown on Memorial Day weekend. The wedding was held at Britland Manor- a massive manor house on the gleaming blue Chester River on the Easter Shore.
Maddy and Steven had family from all over the world fly into for the wedding, some coming in all the way from the United Kingdom. The whole day felt like a wonderful, celebration of Maddy and Steven, with all of the important people from different parts of their lives.
Steven is a volunteer Fire Fighter for Kent County, and they were married by one of his fellow firemen, Mark Mumford, as well as Maddy’s Uncle the Reverend Stephen Adams.
For their reception we were danced the night way to the band from Water Shed Entertainments – who were absolutely A M A Z I N G!!!
Anyone else o b b s e s s e d with her dress?
After the speeches, much to his Mothers delight, Steven surprised her with a Mother & Son Dance.
