If there is one thing had this this year has taught us- it is that, no matter how much planning goes into a wedding day, sometimes the world has other plans. When Covid happened, Abby and Steven decided to move forward with their original wedding day with a reduced guest list and Covid precautions- instead of postponing to next year. Their day was still SO BEAUTIFUL, and filled with so much love and support from their close friends and family. It is so easy to see, just by how Abby and Steven are when they are together that they are soulmates.
Abby’s Mother passed away just before the holidays last year, joining Abby’s father who passed away several years ago. That does not mean that they were not still apart of Abby and Stevens wedding day. From her fathers tie wrapped around her bouquet, the sparkle shoes her mother gifted her, and the heart cut from her mothers wedding dress sewn into abby’s dress- her parents presence was felt though out the day.
The weather had been calling for rain all day, but lucky for us, the weather managed to hold off till right after we finished their husband and wife portraits. Their is definitely an upside to rainy nights on a wedding day- it means that you can do NIGHT PORTRAITS!!!
